LAS VEGAS (June 22, 2026) – The Plaza Hotel & Casino has a full two days of festivities planned to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4.

The holiday celebration will start on Friday, July 3, with the Plaza’s iconic Welcome to the weekend Summer Friday Fireworks show at 9:10 pm. Inspired by the fireworks shows at Disneyland, the Plaza’s free Welcome to the Weekend fireworks have become the spark that starts the weekend in downtown Las Vegas for the last two years. The Welcome to the Weekend fireworks can be viewed from the Plaza’s rooftop pool party, which is free and open to all ages, or at Carousel Bar on Main Street (which will be closed to vehicular traffic during the fireworks).

Then on Saturday, July 4, the 250th anniversary festivities continue with:

  • All-day rooftop pool party with DJ, drink specials, and light bites from the Plaza’s food truck (free admission for all hotel guests all day and night, and starting at 7 pm, $10 admission for non-hotel guests, adults 21 and over)
  • The Great American Wing Contest – after hosting Wing Bowl in February, the Plaza will hold another messy and fast-paced chicken wing eating competition at the Carousel Bar at 5 pm, with the first-place eater winning $1,000.
  • Happy Dad Beer Pong Tournament – an open competition held on the rooftop pool deck at 7 pm with prizes valued up to $400.
  • July 4th grand finale fireworks – the Plaza will launch its second fireworks show of the weekend to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary at 9 pm.

Home to downtown Las Vegas’ only bingo room, the Plaza Hotel & Casino will hold a special $250,000 Super Bingo event to mark the country’s 250th anniversary with the largest prize purse ever for the event. For the special July event, registration is $250 per person with gameplay on Saturday, July 4, and Sunday, July 5. Registration and more details are available at https://www.plazahotelcasino.com/bingo/250-years-250000-super-bingo-2/.

On the casino floor, July 3 will mark the first night of the Plaza’s $5,000 Spark & Spin Slot Tournament that will be held every Friday in July from 8 to 9 pm. More details at http://www.plazahotelcasino.com/casino/5000-spark-spin/.

Finally, the Plaza is offering its All-Inclusive Package all summer long, including for the July 4th holiday weekend. The Plaza’s All-Inclusive Package waives all resort fees, but guests still enjoy free access to the fitness center, self-parking, and rooftop pool. The package also includes free early check-in, free bottled water, bottomless drinks from Omaha bar and Sports Book Bar on the casino floor, and breakfast and dinner from various dining outlets. Guests also receive 25% off cocktails at the rooftop pool. About the Plaza Hotel & Casino

Located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas, the Plaza Hotel & Casino combines a vintage Rat Pack attitude with modern styling and personal customer service for the ultimate Vegas experience. First opened in 1971 and built on the site of the original Las Vegas railroad depot at 1 Main Street, the Plaza has transformed its historic location into a one-of-a-kind destination for cocktails, gaming, entertainment, and dining. Its glittering porte-cochere is home to the outdoor Carousel Bar that offers handmade cocktails inside of a life-sized, animated Vegas-themed carousel setting. The Main Street entrance is also home to Pinkbox Doughnuts and the downtown’s first smoke-free, social media-friendly gaming space created in partnership with social media influencer Brian Christopher. The Plaza has nearly 1,000 modern rooms and suites, a classic Vegas showroom, downtown’s only bingo hall, live music at the Sand Dollar Downtown, and 30,000 sq ft. of refurbished ballroom and meeting space. The Plaza brought the rodeo back to downtown with its CORE Arena, the downtown’s only outdoor equestrian and multipurpose facility. Guests enjoy a variety of dining options led by the renowned Oscar’s Steakhouse in the hotel’s iconic glass dome and on a rooftop patio overlooking the Fremont Street Experience. A lounge-style sports book has hundreds of slot machines, and nearly two dozen table games comprise an 80,000-square-foot casino floor. A rooftop pool and recreation deck with private cabanas, a hot tub, a food truck, and a dedicated Pickleball court provide a variety of outdoor amenities.
