Schedule

Doors Open: 10am
Roping Begins: 10:30am

Dec 14th – Ages 7-9 – 10:30am

Each contestant will get three loops in the Preliminary Round and if they catch all three they will return for the next round. When we have 10 contestants left, they will return for the Championship round. Contestants will be required to have three legal catches to advance to next round. (NO fishing allowed). Judge may also require slick horns if need be.
Ages 7-9 will be using RopeSmart Steer, NO POST.

Dec 15th – Ages 10-12 – 10:30AM

Each contestant will get three loops in the Preliminary Round and if they catch all three they will return for the next round. When we have 10 contestants left, they will return for the Championship round. Contestants will be required to have three legal catches to advance to next round. (NO fishing allowed). Ages 10-12 will be using RopeSmart Steer, NO POST.

Dec 16th – Ages 6 & under – 10:30AM

Preliminary Round: Each contestant will get three loops, one helper allowed . (fishing is allowed). Catch all 3 they will return for the next round. When we have 10 contestants left, the will return for the Championship round.

Ages 6 & Under will be using RopeSmart Steer, NO POST.

Additional Rules

  1. Must bring copy of birth certificate to event.
  2. Three Age Groups: 6 and under, 7-9 and 10-12.
  3. May not enter below their age division. They may enter in an upper age division. Max 2 Entries.
  4. No roper may win more than one prize line in each roping. Cannot win two holes by default.
  5. Age determined as of day of the Roping competition.

The RopeSmart staff and appointed conductors of the roping will ensure to the best of their ability that the event is conducted fairly. Please comply with the requests and suggestions of the conductor(s) of the event. Parents are invited to watch, but not participate unless a helper in the 5 and under group. Thanks for being involved in the growth and future of the sport of Smart Team Roping.

-Contest will consist of preliminary and championship rounds.

-No line, in preliminary rounds unless needed by judge to reach the top 10 contestants for Championship round and the Main Awards. A line will be marked and a Reach Contest will be used.

-Judges may go to slick horns if needed

-JUDGES DECISION WILL BE FINAL – NO EXCEPTIONS.
